Power Flushing

Why do heating systems need power flushing and protecting?

When a heating system is filled with water deterioration begins the combination of water, air and a mix of metals and debris and contaminants, can result in corrosion in your radiators and pipe work slug formation in low flow areas, and with scaling of the boilers heat exchanger.

Symptoms

- Radiators slow to warm up
- Radiators with cold spots
- Sludge in pipe work making noises
- Pinholes in radiators
- Radiators frequent need bleeding
- Boiler noises
- Long recovery time after drawing hot water
- Constant failure of pumps and valves

Any of these symptoms could indicate your heating has circulation problems. An aph services power flush can restore your system by removing these undesirable products and replacing them with clear treated water preventing future problems.

Adding a corrosion and scale inhibitor after a power flush will prevent and often cure future problems.

Fitting a new boiler to an existing heating system.

The high efficiency and compactness of modern boilers, developed to minimise flue costs And pollution makes them more susceptible to problems caused by debris in the system water.

Boiler manufacturers insist that heating systems must be thoroughly flushed before installing a new boiler. An aph services power flush is far more effective then traditional methods, and ensures that the boiler installation complies with ‘best practice standards’

How dose a power flush work?

A power flushing pump is fitted across the two tails of your radiator or though your circulator pump or where most practicable.

Power flushing is an effective cleansing operation with works by pumping high pressure waters with a cleaning chemical though the heating system to loosen harmful deposits and to trap them in the fast moving water. Flushing the radiators one at a time then with a flow reversal valve on the pump, which creates turbulence picking up the debris. Once loosened the unwanted debris are discharged replacing them with clear water.

We at aph services have attended training courses in power flushing so the work we carry out is 100% at it best or your money back,
